O lord, i have heard that sometimes
Lord, I did not hear that ever, forgetting path,
forgetting the path,
You have come to someone's dwelling
you came in some house
Only once momentarily.
once for a moment.
Customarily, You proceed in routine series;
you generally go as per rule
Thinking thus, mentally I've wept profusely.
and order of the scriptures,

thinking of that, i cry
My virtues, they are not accrued;
mentally helplessly.
In store-room has remained a vacuum.
i have not accumulated virtues,
There was no awareness, Your work I did not do;
my collection is just zero.
Tied to matter had I been, in blind-attachment deeps.
i did not perform your work;

there is no experience,
I have not philosophy's wisdom;
and remained bound in
To scripture never did I pay attention.
materialistic bondages.
Yourself I adore, just for Your smile I pray;
i have no knowledge of philosophy,
I don't want a heap of grace, a tiny speck grant me.
i have never deeply studied the scriptures,
i love you and seek your smile.
i do not want abundant grace,
just a wee bit of Your grace, you grant me.
