O Lord,
As much as You I crave, You go that far away;
however much i long for you,
What is this game You play?
I keep wondering what a game of yours this is.
My journey, will it terminate?
What is this game You play?

My movement never comes to an end.
In a river-current I keep drifting;
In the flow of the stream,
Finally, I reach the sea.
I continue floating,
But even there it's not the finish;
eventually reaching the sea.
Wave after wave, they still appear...
And yet, there too, i do not find an end.
Your play incessant, what is this?
Wave after wave overwhelms me.

What an endless game of yours is this?
Like straw before a storm is my will;
Like straw in a storm,
From place to place I get hurled.
I float from place to place.
Lo, at the very edge of space,
And at the end,
Weariness sets in one day.
I am overcome with fatigue.
Please pardon this my disgrace;

Understand my unvoiced pain.
This agony of mine please excuse.
Understand my silent pain.
