O lord,
With which stick did you light the lamp
with which stick
You have brought today?
did you kindle the lamp
Is that lamp kept ablaze,
that you today brought?
Arrayed as countless flames?

That lamp continues to glow
It illuminates the seven spheres{{#tag:ref|As set out in the tantric cosmology of [[Ananda Marga]], the seven ''lokas'' or layers of manifestation from crude matter to creative consciousness.|group="nb"}}
with innumerable flames.
And makes all darkness obsolete.
It pleases every living being,
Their wicker trays decked colorfully.

It illuminates all the seven strata of the universe,
At the end of very long austerity,
and eliminates the entire darkness.
You lit the lamp that never blinks.

Finally, with that light only,
It satisfies all living beings
You finished your complete duty.
and decorates tray after tray with colours.

At the end of prolonged penance,
that lamp glows unwinking.

At the end
You complete all your work
by that light.
