Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomáke jánite bujhite giyáchi
Jatabár ámi priyatama
Maner májháre takhani dekhechi
Bhásvar tumi anupama

Dekhechi tomáy prabháta kusume
Dhamanii shiráy mor manobhúme
Mrdu samiirańe vihaga kújane
Balákár dhvanite rág mama

Mor buddhite dhará náhi dáo
Mor buddhike tumi niye náo
Mor asmitá jaŕásmikatá
Dhúlite mishák dhúli sama
Ghana vibhávarii ámáre ávari
Kareche tomáy dúratama

I've gone forth to know and understand You;
As often as I have, oh my Dearest Darling,
Forthwith, amid psyche I have viewed:
Unrivaled, You are shining brightly

I have seen You in the morning flowers,
In the arteries and veins on my mental earth...
With a gentle breeze, in chirping of the birds,
My music in the sound of a flight of geese.

To my intellect You don't grant embrace;
My intellect You take away.
My pride, a worldly vanity,
Like dust mixed with dust let it be.
Myself blanketing, the night acute;
Most remote I've made Thee.
