Tomárei ámi bhálabásiyáchi
Juge juge katabár kata rúpe katabár
Bhúliyá gecho ki se sakal kathá
Se bháśá bhálabásár

Biijete já chilo ankur halo
Sahakár phule phale bhare gelo
Amiya ságar uthali ut́hilo
Elo je bhará joyár

Jáhá d́háká chilo maneri gahane
Chaŕáye paŕilo vane upavane
Maner mukul smita kánane
Phul haye phot́e suśamár

তোমারেই আমি ভালবাসিয়াছি
যুগে যুগে কতবার কত রূপে কতবার
ভুলিয়া গেছো কি সে সকল কথা
সে ভাষা ভালবাসার

বীজেতে যা ছিলো অঙ্কুর হলো
সহকার ফুলে ফলে ভরে গেলো
অমিয় সাগর উথলি উঠিলো
এলো যে ভরা জোয়ার

যাহা ঢাকা ছিলো মনেরই গহনে
ছড়ায়ে পড়িলো বনে উপবনে
মনের মুকুল স্মিত কাননে
ফুল হয়ে ফোটে সুষমার

Time and again, age after age in many forms.
Have You forgotten that whole history,
Those declarations of love?

What was once a seed became a sprout;
A mango tree teemed with fruit and flower.
The billowing sea of nectar climbed;
Then there came about high tide.

What was hidden in psychic caverns,
Got dispersed in woods and gardens.
In flourishing groves, the mental buds
Blossomed with exquisite looks.
