Diner pare din je gelo
Samay tomár halo ná

Seje tháká halo vrthá
Tilak candan málá gánthá
Chande báṋdhá kata kathá
Bhará rasaná

Dilum sabe jaláiṋjali
Mohan ráge arghya d́áli
Maner madhuratá d́háli
Ebár eso ná

তুমি এলে না
দিনের পরে দিন যে গেল
সময় তোমার হ’ল না

সেজে’ থাকা হ’ল বৃথা
তিলক-চন্দন-মালা গাঁথা
ছন্দে বাঁধা কত কথা
ভরা রসনা

দিলুম সবে জলাঞ্জলি
মোহন রাগে অর্ঘ্য ডালি
মনের মধুরতা ঢালি
এবার এসো না

O lord, you did not come,
days after days have passed.
your time has not come.
making a seat for you has become useless,
and so the welcome sandalpaste
and the threading of garland,
innumerable rhythmic talks filling the tongue.
the trayfull of charming tunes,
pouring sweetness of mind,
all that i have thrown in water.
do not you come this time?
