Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi marma májhe rayecho
Prabhu dúre kata dúre
Cáoná dhará dite áṋkhipáte
Ácho base' antahpure

Tomáre páini khuṋje' mat́he deule
Tomáre páini paiṋcavat́ii múle
Tabu mane náŕá dáo álor dolá lágáo
E liilá ke bujhite páre

Tumi ácho jáná-ajánár májháre
Raye' gecho ámi-bodhe mathita kare'
Tomáre saráte gele ámi ná tháki' náhale
Rayecho je jiivana bhare

O Lord, You reside within the core of the heart,
still how much away do You remain,
and do not want to come into the folds of eyes.
I am unable to find You
within monasteries and temples or
in the root of five pious trees.
Yet, You provide jerk to the mind
and oscillate the swing,
who can understand this game liila'?
You are within the known and the unknown,
and continue to remain churning
with the feeling of “I”-ness.
I cannot exist without You.
Like that You remain filling
throughout the life.
