Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar({Bengali: প্রভাত রঞ্জন সরকার) (21 May 1921 — 21 October 1990) was an Indian Bengali philosopher, author, social revolutionary, poet, composer, and linguist. He is also known as Shri Shri Anandamurti and his disciples and devotees use to affectionately call him Baba.[lower-alpha 1] Sarkar envisioned Ananda Marga and founded Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha. He also propounded Progressive Utilization Theory which encompasses the whole of individual and collective existence, not just for human beings but for all beings. Some more details needed

Sarkar was born on 21 May 1921 in Jamalpur, Bihar, British India. In 1939 he went to Kolkata and studied at Vidyasagar College but could not continue his studies to financially support his family after the sudden death of his father.
