Harmful were my actions, Not anointed by one drop From the ocean of compassion. My birth was all for naught; Serving the Lord never began. Available was He and close at hand; But I took Him not inside my life; I did not hold Him in my heart. It all happened due to my sin; The nearby treasure disappeared When I entered not service of Him. Righteous deeds will I perform; Henceforth, I'll do His work.

Perhaps most likely, it is either the Brajavali dialect of Assamese or Brajabuli, both having a strong Maithili composition.
