Through the gaps of dark clouds,
In openings between black clouds,
he provides glimpses of the ray of hope.
A ray of hope allowed a glimpse.
the life is not only dark,
Not only dark is the existence;
but also mixed with good and bad.
Bad and good are commingled.
the one who is hated today

and considered worse than human being,
Today that which you abhor,
he may become god tomorrow,
What You deem inferior,
if the lord, the ocean of grace wanted so.
Tomorrow it becomes a deity,
those who are rich and respected today,
If Sea of Grace wanted it.
whose formidable might is heard,

tomorrow he would be crushed to dust,
Today that person wealthy and esteemed,
if the lord becomes unfavorable.
Whose furious prowess is paid heed,
Tomorrow into dust he gets crushed,
If Providence became displeased.

Kalo megher phanke phanke is the 2605th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kálo megher pháṋke pháṋke
Dey je uṋki áshár álo
Jiivant́á nay shudhui kálo
Mishe áche manda bhálo

Ájke jáke ghrńá karo
Manuśyetar bale dharo
Kál se devatá haye jáy
Krpásindhu jadi cáilo

Ájke je jan dhanii mánii
Pracańd́a jár pratáp shuni
Kál se dhúláy guṋŕiye jáy
Jadi vidhátá virúp halo

In openings between black clouds,
A ray of hope allowed a glimpse.
Not only dark is the existence;
Bad and good are commingled.

Today that which you abhor,
What You deem inferior,
Tomorrow it becomes a deity,
If Sea of Grace wanted it.

Today that person wealthy and esteemed,
Whose furious prowess is paid heed,
Tomorrow into dust he gets crushed,
If Providence became displeased.
