Oh, Who arrived, lamp in hand?

with a light in hand?

I cannot see your beauty
You piece together the heart that's broken;
nor recognise your voice.
To the dry creek You bring a stream of water.

Through honey-sweet eyelids.


I nonetheless understand
In only thoughts of You ever new,
that you are ever accompanying me.
You brighten my life with many hues.
 
You occupy me in Your service
You join broken hearts,
To make ambition fruitful.
You bring flood into dry fields,
and you fulfil exhausted hope
by the sweet look of your eyes.
 
Colour my life

Tabu bujhi tumi ácho
Sadái ámár sáthe sáthe

Bhagna hrday joŕá lágáo
Shukno kháte d́hal ene dáo
Shúnya áshá púrńa karo
Miśt́i madhur áṋkhipáte

Tomár bhávei nitya nútan
Rauṋe ráuṋáo ámár jiivan
Tomár káje lágáo more

আঁধার রাতে উজান পথে
কে এলে গো আলো হাতে
রূপটি তোমার দেখতে নারি
স্বর যে তোমার চিনতে নারি
তবু বুঝি তুমি আছো

ভগ্ন হৃদয় জোড়া লাগাও
শুকনো খাতে ঢল এনে’ দাও
