- ^ At the heart center, the anáhata cakra (literally, "unstruck plexus"), the sound of ankle bells keeping rhythm with the heartbeat may be heard by an elevated mind. The sound is deemed to be "unstruck", because it occurs without there being two things coming in contact with each other, for example, the strings of a sitar and the fingers of a sitar player.
