O Lord,
Today, with a springtime{{#tag:ref|Here the word ''vasant'' (বসন্ত) has a double meaning. The more common meaning is Spring, the season. today in spring,
Who are You Who arrived, delighting my psyche?
into my floral garden,
On the edge of hopelessness, in a mental cavity,
who are you who came
What did You speak that made me disillusioned?
with an intoxicated mind?

In the world of disappointments
To welcome You the [[:wikipedia:Common hawk-cuckoo|hawk-cuckoos]] keep singing;
in the corner of my mind,
The [[:wikipedia:Butea monosperma|palash]] blooms look on, their eyes to please.
what did you say
Red-colored Earth, enlivening with beauty,
to rectify my mistakes?
To heart's content, it ogles Thee.

Expressing your welcoming,
Today, with kindly thoughts, compassion seeps;
the papiya bird sings its song.
Upon afflicted lives, wide eyes are looking.

Hearts filled with love, nectar overflowing,
The pala'sh tree / flower is watching
Compose ''samgiit'', honey to smear.
with colour applied on its eyes.

In the hue of that colour,
the earth remains beautified
and illuminates all.
It looks at you with heartfelt satisfaction.

Today, in sweet ideation,
affection scatters about.

Eyes, expanded in bewilderness, look on.
My heart, full of love overflowing nectar,
keeps creating its sweetness-smeared songs.

Aji vasante mor phulavane is the 819th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áji vasante mor phulavane
Ke go tumi ele man mátáno
Hatáshá pránte mana końe
Kii tumi balile bhul bháuṋgáno

Tava svágata jánáte pápiyá gáiyá jáy
Nayane rauṋ lágáte palásh tákáy
(Ei) Rauṋe ráuṋá dhará rúpe álo kará
Tomá páne cáy práń júŕáno

Áji madhura manane mamatá jhariyá jáy
Vidhura paráńe áyata áṋkhi tákáy
Priiti bhará hiyá sudhá upaciyá
Sauṋgiit race madhu mákháno

Today, with a springtime[nb 2] in my flower garden,
Who are You Who arrived, delighting my psyche?
On the edge of hopelessness, in a mental cavity,
What did You speak that made me disillusioned?

To welcome You the hawk-cuckoos keep singing;
The palash blooms look on, their eyes to please.
Red-colored Earth, enlivening with beauty,
To heart's content, it ogles Thee.

Today, with kindly thoughts, compassion seeps;
Upon afflicted lives, wide eyes are looking.
Hearts filled with love, nectar overflowing,
Compose samgiit, honey to smear.
