Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Áji vasante mor phulavane
Ke go tumi ele man mátáno
Hatáshá pránte mana końe
Kii tumi balile bhul bháuṋgáno

Tava svágata jánáte pápiyá gáiyá jáy
Nayane rauṋ lágáte palásh tákáy
(Ei) Rauṋe ráuṋá dhará rúpe álo kará
Tomá páne cáy práń júŕáno

Áji madhura manane mamatá jhariyá jáy
Vidhura paráńe áyata áṋkhi tákáy
Priiti bhará hiyá sudhá upaciyá
Sauṋgiit race madhu mákháno

O Lord,
today in spring,
into my floral garden,
who are you who came
with an intoxicated mind?

In the world of disappointments
in the corner of my mind,
what did you say
to rectify my mistakes?

Expressing your welcoming,
the papiya bird sings its song.

The pala'sh tree / flower is watching
with colour applied on its eyes.

In the hue of that colour,
the earth remains beautified
and illuminates all.
It looks at you with heartfelt satisfaction.

Today, in sweet ideation,
affection scatters about.

Eyes, expanded in bewilderness, look on.
My heart, full of love overflowing nectar,
keeps creating its sweetness-smeared songs.
