The sky envelops this small earth.
Sky is enclosing the diminutive Earth;
Yet this earth, though small, is not meagre.
Although the Earth be tiny, it is not at all trifling.
Inside of the ocean, many are the drops of water;
Taking them together is acquaintance with the sea.

In an ocean,
The flower bud, the grain of sand,
innumerable water drops lie.
Who thinks of them, fallen upon side of path?
Taking together all,
They alone have composed Earth, diffusing dreamy fragrance;
only the ocean is recognised.
Having been their role, they remain perpetual.

The bud of flower,
With scope for freshness in the history of novelty,
the particle of sand,
We will keep on creating within amity's periphery.
remain on the side of the path,
Those who've made something and who've kept on making,
no one ever thinking of them.
Their private thoughts in mute mouths are loaded with honey.

The fragrance that fills this dreamy earth
is made from them.
Their role is nondiminishing.

In the new period,
in the history of the new,
I shall create an environment of affection.

The sweet story of the minds
of those who have done
and of those who now continue to do,
remains in dumb mouths.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ákásh ghiriyá áche kśudra dharáke
Kśudra haleo dhará tuccha nay
Jaladhir májhe áche kata jalavindu
Táder sabáre niye jaladhir paricay

Kusumer kaliká bálukár kańiká
Ke táder kathá bháve pathapáshe paŕe tháká
Tárái raciche dhará svapnasurabhi bhará
Táháder bhúmiká haye áche akśay

Navatara avakáshe nútaner itiháse
Ámrá raciyá jába mamatár pariveshe
Járá já kariyá geche járá já kare caleche
Táder maner kathá múk mukhe madhumay

Sky is enclosing the diminutive Earth;
Although the Earth be tiny, it is not at all trifling.
Inside of the ocean, many are the drops of water;
Taking them together is acquaintance with the sea.

The flower bud, the grain of sand,
Who thinks of them, fallen upon side of path?
They alone have composed Earth, diffusing dreamy fragrance;
Having been their role, they remain perpetual.

With scope for freshness in the history of novelty,
We will keep on creating within amity's periphery.
Those who've made something and who've kept on making,
Their private thoughts in mute mouths are loaded with honey.
