সেথায় যখন সূর্য ওঠে

কাজুবাদাম বনের মাঝে
রঙীন পাখী সদাই নাচে
গাঙ- চিলেরা দূর বিদেশে
করে পারাপার

নৌকো খুলে’ দূরের গানে
নাবিকে ধায় স্রোতের টানে
ছোটে সে জলধির পানে
ভিন্ন চিন্তা তার

O dear companion,
come to my village
that lies beyond the suvarn'areka' river.

When walking along the sea side
through sand heaps,
the sun rises,
colouring the sky and the sea.
It awakens colours within my mind
and provides infinite joy.

In the groves of almonds and cashew nuts,
colourful birds ever dance.
The rivereagle flies far off.
The boatman releases his boat
into the river current.
He rushes towards the sea,
forgetting all his worries.
