Tumi kothá ácho kata dúre
Smita kuvalay kuṋŕit́ire
Bhomará uŕiche ghire ghire

Malaya pavane áne je svanan
Kaci kishalaye choṋyá láge (jabe)
Tapta kańake álor jhalake
Alake alake dyuti jáge
(Ámi) Tomár mádhurii cái hiyá bhari
Shata báre prabhu shata dháre

Cáhiyá calechi kata jug dhari
Áshár pradiipe dhaerjya ná hári
Tumi purátan tumi navatan
Krpá karo more kśańa tare

(আমি) চারিদিকে চাই বারে বারে
তুমি কোথা আছো কত দূরে
স্মিত কুবলয় কুঁড়িটিরে
ভোমরা উড়িছে ঘিরে ঘিরে

মলয় পবনে আনে যে স্বনন
কচি কিশলয়ে ছোঁয়া লাগে (যবে)
তপ্ত কনকে আলোর ঝলকে
অলকে অলকে দ্যুতি জাগে
(আমি) তোমার মাধুরী চাই হিয়া ভরি’
শত বারে প্রভু শত ধারে

চাহিয়া চলেছি কত যুগ ধরি’
আশার প্রদীপে ধৈর্য্য না হারি
তুমি পুরাতন তুমি নবতন
কৃপা করো মোরে ক্ষণ তরে

O lord,
I searched you all over again and again.
Where are you and how far away?

Over the smiling blue lotus bud,
the bee gently hovers.
The sandal breeze brings sonance
when it touches the tender leaves.

Hot sparks of illumination
appear in the heavens.

I want your sweetness
to fill my heart,
in hundreds of flows,
hundreds of times.

With this desire i have been moving on for ages,
carrying the lamp of hope,
without losing patience.

You are the ancient and the new.
Bestow your grace upon me for a moment.
