The game between
The game between moon and the clouds,
the moon and the clouds
In yonder firmament a dream does rise.
in the distant sky
Forgotten is worldly enchantment;
arouses in my dream.
I keep gazing toward the sky.

Forgetting earthly illusions,
On the resplendent moonlit night,
I keep watching.
From afar it beckons...
I cannot remain at home while
Dances the whole ocean of effulgence.

The light spreading moonlight,
Oh Who are You, my Unknown Friend?
hand signals from a distance.
You go away, having poured life's nectar.
I am unable to stay home.
You leave, after just calling me...

In my heart, how can I bear this separation?
The ocean of effulgence dances with rhythm.
O unknown friend,
You continue pouring sweetness into my life,
You continue calling only me.

How can i possibly bear this separation?

Cande meghete khela is the 1231st song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Cáṋde meghete khelá
Dúr ákáshe svapna jágáy oi
Bhule giye mát́ir máyá
Ákásh páne takiye rai

Álo jhará jyotsná ráte
Hátcháni dey sudúr hate
(Ámi) Thákte ná pári gharete
Álor ságar náce thai thai

Ke go tumi ajáná baṋdhu
D́hele cala práńer madhu
(Tumi)[nb 2] D́eke cala ámáy shudhu
E vicched kon práńete sai

The game between moon and the clouds,
In yonder firmament a dream does rise.
Forgotten is worldly enchantment;
I keep gazing toward the sky.

On the resplendent moonlit night,
From afar it beckons...
I cannot remain at home while
Dances the whole ocean of effulgence.

Oh Who are You, my Unknown Friend?
You go away, having poured life's nectar.
You leave, after just calling me...
In my heart, how can I bear this separation?

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ In the audio rendition, this word is omitted. However, it is found in the more authoritative Bengali book,[2] and it seems to belong here.

Recordings

Following is the only available audio rendition; however, there are mistakes in it. In the first line of the first verse, the word meghete is occasionally sung incorrectly as megher; and in the third line of the third verse, the word tumi is omitted.
