Nandana madhu viliye dile
Mánavatár dyuti niirandhra
Andhakúpe jválile

Já chilo svapne ráuṋá
Se halo jiivane jágá
Dúr niihárikáke
Nikat́e t́ene ánile

Já chilo dúrera vidhu
Se halo hiyára madhu
Mamatár madhurimáy
Marubhúmi májhe phul phot́ále

ছন্দে তালে এলে
নন্দন মধু বিলিয়ে দিলে
মানবতার দ্যুতি নীরন্ধ্র
অন্ধকূপে জ্বালিলে

যা’ ছিল স্বপ্নে রাঙা
সে হ’ল জীবনে জাগা
দূর নীহারিকাকে
নিকটে টেনে’ আনিলে

যা’ ছিল দূরের বিধু
সে হ’ল হিয়ার মধু
মমতার মধুরিমায়
মরুভূমি মাঝে ফুল ফোটালে

O lord,
You came with rhythm and melody.
You came as heavenly nectar.

In a deep, dark well,
You kindled the light of humanity.
Those who were in slumber,
awakened to life.

You pulled and brought the distant nebula close.
That which was a distant moon only,
became the honey of the heart,
the sweetness of affection.

You made flowers bloom in the desert.
