Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ei puśpita bakula tale
Tumi esechile
Maner gahane nibhrta bhuvane
Dvárguli khule' dile

Ámi chinu eká eká
Andhatamasá d́háká
Álor rashmirekhá
Dúre t́hele'

Asiima ákáshe chilo álora bahár
Maner májháre chilo nikaśa áṋdhár
Tumi káche ele diip jvele' gele
Báhir bhitar ek kare' dile

Below this bloomed tree of bakul, you had come, o lord.
In the depth of mind, in isolation, you opened all doors.
I was allalone covered with dark inertia keeping away the
ray of light. in the infinite sky decoration of light was there
but inside the mind there was cimmerian darkness. you came
close, kindled the lamp and unified the outside and inside.
