Tomáre ceyechi kále kálántare
Rikta maru májhe rkśa prántare
Tomáre peyechi arúp mańiháre
Sabáre dyutir loke niye jeo

O dear lord,
a symbol of effulgence,
You are the messenger in dense darkness.

You removed all my agony;
now make me your own.

I love you day and night,
during blows of storms
and in the dense fog.

I find you in the golden radiation of the morning,
filling my heart and my mind.

I love you time and again,
in empty sands and in empty worlds.

You are the formless,
yet most beautiful garland of gems.
Take all with you to a world of effulgence.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ The tumi that is sung at the end of this line in the audio rendition is not supported by the published Bangla book.[1] It is likely to be a mistake, as it tends to break the meter and rhyme scheme.
