Aruńákáshe belá canpá páshe
(Niye) Chandamay carańe rátul

Kokil ekhano kichu kathá kay
Sandhyá sakále malayaja bay
Kinshuka shákhe papiyá d́ákiche
Vishuśka práy nadiikúl

Ashoka puśpa práy jharojhara
Shálmalii taru biije bharobhara
Drákśár thoká phale tharothara
Mádhavi kuiṋje puiṋje puiṋje
Ali guiṋjare peye phúl

গ্রীষ্মাবকাশে সে যদি আসে
দু'হাত ভরিয়া দোব ফুল

অরুণাকাশে বেলা-চাঁপা পাশে

In the summer holidays, if He comes,

In the crimson sky beside the groves of jasmine and magnolia.
If He comes on His rhythmic, rosy feet,

Even now the cuckoos sing a few notes.
In morning and evening when the sea breeze blows,
On branches of the kishuk trees,
The nightingale calls.
The rivers have almost all dried up.
I'll offer Him flowers in my outstretched palms.
The ashoka flowers have almost all fallen.
The bombax trees are laden with seeds.
On the vine, grape clusters hang low,
And in the bower of madhavi flowers,
Swarms of black bees hum around the blossoms.
I'll offer Him flowers in my outstretched palms.
