O lord,
Those who are in love with You,
why do you push those who love you away?
Why make them far removed?
Flower having bloomed and bumblebees assembled,
Why then let its petals be fallen?

When flowers bloom, honeybees arrive.
Life after life, and birth to decease,
Why then, do you allow petals to whither away?
I have offered myself at only Your feet.
Once having come near and also held me dear,
Why do You look at me, having gone elsewhere?

Lives after lives,
However much the yearning, liila You keep making;
births after deaths,
In such state why do You entangle me?
I have offered myself at your feet.
Fantastic things You go on devising;

With both light and darkness why make love stream?
I came and loved,
but just saw you leaving.

With all capacity you continue your divine game.
But why submerge me in that cycle?

You continue performing your job,
as per your imagination.
But why flow your love
by both light and darkness?

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Járá tomáy bhálabáse
Táder kena dúre saráo
Phul phut́iye ali jút́iye
Pápŕi kena jhariye dáo

Jiivane jiivane janame marańe
Nijere sańpechi tomári carańe
Káche ese bhálabese
Dúre giye kena tákáo

Jata áche sádh liilá kare jáo
Ámáre ebháve kena go jaŕáo
Kalpanámata káj kare jáo
Álo áṋdháre kena priiti jharáo

Those who are in love with You,
Why make them far removed?
Flower having bloomed and bumblebees assembled,
Why then let its petals be fallen?

Life after life, and birth to decease,
I have offered myself at only Your feet.
Once having come near and also held me dear,
Why do You look at me, having gone elsewhere?

However much the yearning, liila You keep making;
In such state why do You entangle me?
Fantastic things You go on devising;
With both light and darkness why make love stream?
