Táder kena dúre saráo
Phul phut́iye ali jút́iye
Pápŕi kena jhariye dáo

Jiivane jiivane janame marańe
Nijere sańpechi tomári carańe
Káche ese bhálabese
Dúre giye kena tákáo

Jata áche sádh liilá kare jáo
Ámáre ebháve kena go jaŕáo
Kalpaná mata káj kare jáo
Álo áṋdháre kena priiti jharáo

যারা তোমায় ভালবাসে
তাদের কেন দূরে সরাও
ফুল ফুটিয়ে অলি জুটিয়ে
পাপড়ি কেন ঝরিয়ে দাও

জীবনে জীবনে জনমে মরণে
নিজেরে সঁপেছি তোমারই চরণে
কাছে এসে' ভালবেসে'
দূরে গিয়ে কেন তাকাও

যত আছে সাধ লীলা করে' যাও
আমারে এভাবে কেন গো জড়াও
কল্পনা মত কাজ করে' যাও
আলো-আঁধারে কেন প্রীতি ঝরাও

O lord,
why do you push those who love you away?

When flowers bloom, honeybees arrive.
Why then, do you allow petals to whither away?

Lives after lives,
births after deaths,
I have offered myself at your feet.

I came and loved,
but just saw you leaving.

With all capacity you continue your divine game.
But why submerge me in that cycle?

You continue performing your job,
as per your imagination.
But why flow your love
by both light and darkness?
