Ásibe káche chinu ei bharasáy
Áshá bhará divase nisháy

Kata din cale gelo kata sandhyá elo
Rauṋin kusum kata átape jhare gelo
Súrja grahańe kata ravi d́háká paŕechilo
Bhule gechi sei itikatháy

Kata ráti phuráilo kata jyotsná hárálo
Upavan saorabh ákáshe uŕe gelo
Candragrahańe kata vidhu áṋdháre milálo
Niśt́hur niviŕ tamasáy

জেনে' না জেনে' আমি চেয়েছি তোমায়
আমার মনের মঞ্জুষায়
আসিবে কাছে ছিনু এই ভরসায়
আশাভরা দিবসে নিশায়

কত দিন চলে' গেল কত সন্ধ্যা এল
রঙিন কুসুম কত আতপে ঝরে' গেল
সূর্য গ্রহণে কত রবি ঢাকা পড়েছিল
ভুলে গেছি সেই ইতিকথায়

কত রাতি ফুরাইল কত জ্যোৎস্না হারাল
উপবন সৌরভ আকাশে উড়ে গেল
চন্দ্রগ্রহণে কত বিধু আঁধারে মিলাল
নিষ্ঠুর নিবিড় তমসায়

O lord, knowingly or unknowingly,
i want you in the cascade of my mind.
I have the confidence that you would come,
thus i remain hopeful day and night.
Many days have passed, many evenings came,
and many flowers withered due to heat.
many eclipses covered the sun,
all that history i have forgotten.
how many nights concluded,
many moonlight lost.
the fragrance of the garden
evaporated into the sky.
lunar eclipses darkened many time moons
in the merciless dense darkness.
