Kata kache chile dure cale gele is the 1627th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kata káche chile dúre cale gele
Cale gele
Ámi chinu base ásári áshe
Náhi ele

Je gán racile more shikháile
Mor kańt́he tá ná shuńiyá gele
Je viińár táre bhuvan mátále
Se tár chiṋŕiyá dile

Ogo bedaradii e tava liiláy
Alokáloke pradhávita hay
Járá bháve áche tava káche káche
Tárái virahánale jvale

O lord,
how close were you,
and yet, you went away far.

I had stayed, waiting for you
in the hope of your arrival,
but you did not come, alas.

The song that you had created and taught me,
You did not hear it sung from my voice.

The string of the viin'a',
by the vibration of which you charmed the world,
You plucked.

O merciless one,
this divine play of yours,
rushes on as heavenly stream of light.

Those who closely ideate on you,
You abandon in the fire of separation,
as you depart.
