Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kena go bhálabese káche ese
Dúre sare gele
Bádale kalápa mele man mátiye
Áŕále lukole

Ájo háy phulakalirá pápŕi gherá
Chande bhará madhute vilol
Táháder práńera baṋdhu kena je shudhu
Dúre acaiṋcal
Eso go káche eso práńete mesho
Liilárasocchale

Sakala bháver tumi je ádhár
Sabár ábhog tumi nirádhár
Sabára sáthii vyathára vyathii
Kále kálántare bhará carácar
Hiyáte priitimadhute nece calo
Pale anupale

O lord,
why did you come close with love
and departed abruptly?

My mind danced like a peacock,
spreading its tail in intoxication,
and yet, you hid yourself.

Even today, alas,
my flower buds remain hidden under petals,
though full of sweetness smeared rhythm.

O dearest friend,
why do you stay away, unmoved?

Come, come close,
merge with my life,
by your overwhelming and divine game.

You are the basis of all thoughts,
yet, you do not need a base.
You are the psychic pabula of all.
You are everyone's friend,
sympathizer during pains.

The animate and inanimate worlds,
the temporal factor, are all full of you.
With love and sweetness in your heart,
You dance on,
each and every moment.
