Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kon sudúrer srote bhese esecho esecho
Práńer paráge madhu d́hele d́hele
Kon se amarár váńii enecho enecho
Sab klesh jválá bhúláye dile

Áji mor upavane vihagii gáy
Káṋt́á vane kusumita ketakii cáy
Gandhamadhu mákhá malaya váy
Hrday bhariyá tumi ele ele

Nirmegha ákáshe tárárá háse
Niralas vasante pika kii bá bháśe
Bhomará chút́iyá áse kiseri áshe
Eká tumi eta rúp kii kare nile nile

O lord,
through which distant stream
did you come floating,
pouring honey into the pollen of my heart?

What heavenly message did you bring about
that made us forget all burning agonies?

Today, in my garden, the bird sings.
On my thorny path, the ketakii flower blooms.
The sweetness-absorbed
and fragrant sandal breeze blows.

You came to gratify my heart.
In the cloudless sky stars smile.

What does the cuckoo sing
in the brisk spring?
With what hope does the bee rush about?

Being singular,
how did you convert yourself
into so many forms?
