Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Rúpe ráge ele bhuvan bharále
Theke gele áŕále kena
Kholákhuli ná ele mishiyá ná gele
Ajáná acená jena

Tumi bhálabháve melámeshá cáo ná bujhi
Tái nirápad áshray niyecho khuṋji
Tava man náhi cáy prabhu mor man cáy
Ei dui cáoyáte raphá habe jeno

Vishvasraśt́á tumi vishvambhar
Satyadraśt́á tumi satyambar
Tumi satyake lukote páribe náko
Tabe kena ceśt́á karo hena

O lord,
You came and filled the world with beauty and melody,
but why did you then hide in the back?

You did not come openly
to merge yourself with all.
You preferred to remain unknown and unrecognised.

I understand that you do not want
to mingle thoroughly.
That is why,
You sought a place free from disturbances.

O lord,
You do not want to but i do.
Let both these desires vanish.

O creator and operator of the world,
You are vision of truth covered within truth.
You cannot hide from truth.
Why then do you try to do so?
