Abhimáne jhare geche
Tomár parash tomár haraś
Sabái pete cáy

Náce gáne tále chande
Cái tomáy rákhite ánande
Tumi náhi tákále sab
Jáy cale vrtháy

তোমার তরে বসে’ বসে’
দিন যে চলে’ যায়
আলোকের এই মহোৎসবে
দূরে কেন হায়

ফুলের ‘পরে ফুল ফুটেছে
অভিমানে ঝরে’ গেছে
তোমার পরশ তোমার হরষ
সবাই পেতে চায়

নাচে গানে তালে ছন্দে
চাই তোমায় রাখিতে আনন্দে
তুমি নাহি তাকালে সব
যায় চলে’ বৃথায়

O lord,
sitting and waiting for you,
the days pass by.

Alas, during this grand festival of light,
why do you remain afar?

Flowers after flowers bloom,
and, due to pride, wither away.

All long for your touch and joy.
By dance, song,
rhythm and tunes
I wish to keep you blissful.

If you do not look at me,
it all will go to waste.
