Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomáre ceyechi ámi rúpe ráge sure
Ceyechi bodhir antare
Tákáoni phire dáoni sáŕá more
Raye gecho tumi ati dúre

Tomár káche tuccha ámár cáoyá
Tomár káche múlyahiin mor páoyá
Ámár káche jáhá ságar cheṋcá mańi
Tumi avahelá karo táre

Ańu ámi priya tumi je brhat
Kśudre mete tháki tumi je mahat
Kot́i kot́i ámi niye ácho tumi
Tomáre bujhite ke páre

O lord, i love you with the beauty,
loving colour and melody,
and also within the intuitive faculty.
still you did not look at me,
did not respond to my call,
and remained much far.
my wishes are negligible before you.
my attainment is also valueless for you.
For me whatever is gem
screened from the ocean,
that also you ignore.
o Dear, i am a particle, you are the great,
i am engrossed in mean things
while you are the greatest.
Your existence is with millions
and millions of unit “i”,
the microcosms. who can understand you?
