Tumi jagater jyoti tumi bhaktera práń
Tumi drpta puruś tumi muktira gán
Sadá sauṋge ácho ámi dekhi ná

Tumi antaratama tumi brhattama
Ámi kśudrátikśudra kańiká sama
Tumi krpá karecho krpá kariyá calo
Krpá kariyá jábe tabu bujhi ná

তুমি আমায় জানো
আমি তোমায় জানি না
তুমি ভালোবাসো
আমি স্বার্থে চলি ভালোবাসি না

তুমি জগতের জ্যোতি তুমি ভক্তের প্রাণ
তুমি দৃপ্ত পুরুষ তুমি মুক্তির গান
সদা সঙ্গে আছো আমি দেখি না

তুমি অন্তরতম তুমি বৃহত্তম
আমি ক্ষুদ্রাতিক্ষুদ্র কণিকা সম
তুমি কৃপা করেছো কৃপা করিয়া চলো
কৃপা করিয়া যাবে তবু বুঝি না

O Lord,
You know me,
but i do not know you.

You love me,
but i move selfishly,
not loving you.

You are the light of the world,
the very life of the devotees.

You are the effulgent entity
and the song of liberation.

You are always with me,
yet, i do not see you.

You are my innermost and greatest,
I am but the smallest of small particles.

You have showered your grace,
You keep showering your grace,
and will continue to do so.
Yet, i still don't understand you.
