O lord,
For whom do You sing,
what for do you keep on singing your songs,
Having kept the world unhearing?
deafening the whole world?
You observe and laugh, arrive and leave;

But Yourself none may see.
You come and go,
and, with infinite compassion,
smile and lovingly look upon all.
Yet, nobody sees you.

By your songs,
the whole world vibrates.
It resonates
with the sweetness of your tune, rhythm & melody.

When you are close
my love for you rises.
Yet, i still won't merge in you.

Your coming and going
The earth, through Your rhythmic song,
Your love,
She gets both tune and tempo, Master honey-tongued.
Your sweet smile,
You are close, and along with You is love;
are all heart touching.
But Earth can't keep company with Thee.

You are the cosmic mind.
Your loving visitation oft,
You destroy darkness.
Your smiling gaze and psychic touch...
In each atom and molecule of my heart
The cosmic mind are You, You rid the dark
I hold you.
In atoms and molecules held within heart.

Tumi gan gao kahara tare is the 1972nd song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1][2]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi gán gáo káhára tare
Badhir kare rekhe dharáre
Tumi áso ár jáo háso ár cáo
Keu ná dekhite páy tomáre

Tomár giitite chandáyita dhará
Sure laye se je prabhu madhumukhará
Tumi ácho káche priiti sauṋge áche
Tabu tomáte mishite náhi páre

Tomár ásá jáoyá bhálabásá
Tomár hásá cáoyá citi parashá
Tumi vishvamánas tumi násho támas
Hrdaye dhare ańu paramáńure

For whom do You sing,
Having kept the world unhearing?
You observe and laugh, arrive and leave;
But Yourself none may see.

The earth, through Your rhythmic song,
She gets both tune and tempo, Master honey-tongued.
You are close, and along with You is love;
But Earth can't keep company with Thee.

Your loving visitation oft,
Your smiling gaze and psychic touch...
The cosmic mind are You, You rid the dark
In atoms and molecules held within heart.
