O Lord,
Without my invite, You entered my home...
You came to my home without informing me.
What kind of love is this, what kind of love?
What sort of love is this?
Without my saying a word, to me You spoke...
What is this surreal affection, this surreal affection?

Even without asking you to do so,
My despondent heart had plunged into disrepair;
You nonetheless spoke to me.
Repeatedly the night found me in a baffled state.
What dreamy love is this?
Now my quenched thirst smiles with contentment;
After long, You arrived, borne on flower pollen.

My defeated heart lay about neglected.
Speak up, maybe I don't merit this Your pity;
My recurring nights came restlessly.
But why did You make such a huge deceit?

Pray tell, do You love me or do You not...
Then, my fully quenched thirst smiled in delight.
Why did You stay far away, with what were You displeased...

Say how You were dissatisfied, what was Your disaffection?
You came to me
after such long time,
floating in floral pollen.
I wonder for whom is meant
all this mercy of yours?

And yet, why did you create deceptions?
Tell me whether or not you love me.

Why did you remain afar?
Due to what displeasure?
Tell me.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi ná d́ákitei ele ámára ghare
E kii anuráge e kii anuráge
Kichu ná kahitei tumi kathá kahile
E kii svapna ráge e kii svapna ráge

Mor here jáoyá hiyá chilo avaheláy
Phire páoyá nishá elo vihvalatáy (mor)
Paritripta trśá háse prasannatáy
Etadine ele bhese phulaparáge (tumi)

Balo kiser tare tava e karuńá
Tabe kena karechile eta chalaná
Bhálobáso ki ná balo ná balo ná
Kena dúre theke basechile kon viráge
Kon viráge balo kon viráge

Without my invite, You entered my home...
What kind of love is this, what kind of love?
Without my saying a word, to me You spoke...
What is this surreal affection, this surreal affection?

My despondent heart had plunged into disrepair;
Repeatedly the night found me in a baffled state.
Now my quenched thirst smiles with contentment;
After long, You arrived, borne on flower pollen.

Speak up, maybe I don't merit this Your pity;
But why did You make such a huge deceit?
Pray tell, do You love me or do You not...
Why did You stay far away, with what were You displeased...
Say how You were dissatisfied, what was Your disaffection?
