Kusumakalirá pulake phut́ilo
Virahii hrday náciyá ut́hilo
Maramii maner sparsha buláye
Sauṋgiite sur diyechile (tumi)

Jaŕer májháre dile cetanatá
Prasupta jiive dile práńiinatá
Mamatámadhur mohana hásite
Sabáre nikat́e t́enechile (tumi)

(তুমি) শ্বেত শতদলে স্পন্দিত করে
সৌর সরণে এসেছিলে
মনের মাঝারে ছন্দ জাগায়ে
অরুণ আলোতে হেসেছিলে (তুমি)

কুসুমকলিরা পুলকে ফুটিলো
বিরহী হৃদয় নাচিয়া উঠিলো
মরমী মনের স্পর্শ বুলায়ে
সঙ্গীতে সুর দিয়েছিলে (তুমি)

জড়ের মাঝারে দিলে চেতনতা
প্রসুপ্ত জীবে দিলে প্রাণীনতা
মমতামধুর মোহন হাসিতে
সবারে নিকটে টেনেছিলে (তুমি)

You came,
along the path of the sun,
and shook my white hundred petalled lotus.

Awakening rhythm in my mind,
You smiled in the morning light.

The buds of flowers bloomed with thrill.
My deserted heart started dancing.

By the soft touch of your sympathising mind,

to inert matter,
