Greetings Welcome to the inaugural edition of Sarkarverse Bulletin, Sarkarverse's fortnightly newsletter. We're sending you the first edition of this opt-in newsletter, because you signed up, or have shown interest in Sarkarverse. - Sarkarverse launched: On 21 October 2013, Sarkarverse was launched by Ananda Marga senior monk Abhidevananda Avadhuta. The initial work of the encyclopedia began on 7 October 2013.
- Sarkarverse reaches 500 articles: On 26 October 2013, Sarkarverse reached 500 articles. As of 1 November 2013[update] Sarkarverse has 936 articles.
- Deluge of spam: On 27 October 2013 Sarkarverse faces a serious spam attack and saw more than 150 new accounts those were created to write spam articles and insert external links in Sarkarverse articles. All 150+ accounts were quickly blocked and new account creation in Sarkarverse was temporarily disabled. Account creation was re-enabled on 28 October.
- Ongoing discussions: Ongoing discussions on Sarkarverse policies and guidelines planning may be seen at Sarkarverse:Policies and guidelines planning. Feel free join and share your opinion there (Maps and categories • Projects)
- Portal:Quiz: On 30 October 2013 Sarkarverse launched Portal:Quiz — a recreational portal of the encyclopedia. Any registered user may ask or ask questions here, but all questions must be connected to Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar.

- Sarkarverse in three more languages: On 2014 March 21, Sarkarverse was made available in three additional languages. Besides our English version, we now have:
- MediaWiki upgrade:: Sarkarverse's platfrom MediaWiki was upgraded from MW 1.21 to MW 1.22 in the first week of March. This upgrade brought both benefits and hassles. With the upgrade, we got a faster site, some errors were fixed — these were benefits. The upgrade also brought some new errors, and we had to update a series of modules and templates — these were hassles.
- Scribunto Lua— No more: Scribunto is a core extension of MediaWiki that uses the Lua programming language. From the very first day we have been facing difficulties with this extension. In mid-November (2013) it was fixed. Now the error is back, and it is affecting hundreds of pages and templates. Our volunteers are working to fix it.
- Lack of editors: Although Sarkarverse is going to be 5 months' old this March, the site is still badly lacking active editors. If you are not engaged with editing, please consider helping out.
- Sarkarverse social news: Sarkarverse Facebook page touched 350 likes on March 14.

Sarkarverse Bulletin 2014 April 01

- Sarkarverse Featured Content and Bulletin frequency: Sarkarverse Featured Content and Sarkarverse bulletin have become more systematic. From now Sarkarverse Featured Content on/around 6 and 21 of every month and new issues of Sarkarverse will be published on 1 of every month.
- New system admin — User:Prem: On 2014 March 20, User:Prem (Tommi Koskinen) joined Sarkarverse as a system admin. Prem is skilled with sysadmin work on Linux but new to MediaWiki.
- First editor to complete 10,000 edits: On March 21, User:Tito Dutta become the first editor of Sarkarverse to complete 10,000 edits at Sarkarverse. User:Abhidevananda congratulated Tito saying "Congratulations... it is a testament to your perseverance."
- 6-hours outage: On March 26 Sarkarverse suffered a 6-hour outage. It was a server-side issue. Upon investigation, it was found that the site server was overloaded by extremely heavy traffic. In the not-too-distant future, Sarkarverse will require a more robust server.

Sarkarverse Bulletin 5

Greetings and welcome to the fifth issue of Sarkarverse Bulletin. We are sending you this opt-in newsletter, because you subscribed to it or have shown a great interest in Sarkarverse. If you have not yet subscribed, you may ensure the receipt (or non-receipt) of future updates of Sarkarverse Bulletin by signing up (or unsubscribing) here.
- Sarkarverse now in Finnish language (Suomi) also: In mid-June 2014, the Finnish version of Sarkarverse was launched. Much thanks to Premji for this.
- Current number of articles: Sarkarverse now offers 370 substantive articles. Much credit for the increase goes to Titoji.
- Mobile interface for Sarkarverse: It's not perfect yet, but Sarkarverse now has a mobile-friendly view as well. Unfortunately, the auto-detect feature does not seem to work very well. Hopefully, we will have this sorted out soon.
- Server stability: Over the last couple months, our server has been relatively stable. Sarkarverse is a big project, and it taxes our resources considerably. If all goes well, we will upgrade our server in the coming year.
- Sarkarverse Radio: On Baba's birthday, we successfully ran an almost continuous 24-hour program of Prabhat Samgiita on our Sarkarverse Radio. Our charming DJ was Kusumji. Future radio programs will be announced.
- Sarkarverse Blog: The Sarkarverse Blog has been quite active over the last month or two. Mostly the articles contain the new translations of Prabhat Samgiita songs published on Sarkarverse.
- Editors still needed: Perhaps the biggest disappointment of Sarkarverse is our shortage of editors. We encourage everyone to get involved, but it seems that many are daunted by the prospect. The work is not as hard as some may imagine, and it is very satisfying. Please do get involved.
