O lord,
In the Spring, for atoms each and every,
spring has come
On what stream did You keep giving them a swing?
and vibrated each atom.
At core of tune after tune,
What sorcery did You imbue?

What is its cause and origin?
A drunken atmosphere, it speaks of what craving?
In the music what is missing, and what is received?
Silently and secretly,
On sweet night Your touch You kept applying.

Under whose illusive influence,
What I've lost, that I have left behind;
have internal melodies come about?
What I've found, it lifts and fills the mind.

My avid heart's outpouring
What does the frenzied wind want?
Won't be held shrouded by any means.
What has been lost and what gained?

In the silent,
isolated and sweet night
what touch was given?

I have forgotten what i lost,
for, what i got was overwhelming.

This unbound vitality cannot be hidden.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Vasante ańu ańute
Dolá diye gele kiser srote
Antare sure sure
Bhariye dile kiser máyáte

Mátál háoyá jánáy kon se cáoyá
Kon se háráno sure kon se páoyá
Niirave nibhrte
Choṋyá diye gele madhu ráte

Kii je háriyechi gechi bhule
Já peyechi tá man bhare tole
Práńeri ucchalatá
D́heke rákhá ná jáy kona mate

In the Spring, for atoms each and every,
On what stream did You keep giving them a swing?
At core of tune after tune,
What sorcery did You imbue?

A drunken atmosphere, it speaks of what craving?
In the music what is missing, and what is received?
Silently and secretly,
On sweet night Your touch You kept applying.

What I've lost, that I have left behind;
What I've found, it lifts and fills the mind.
My avid heart's outpouring
Won't be held shrouded by any means.
