Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Álo jhará bhore dhará dile more
Bali ni tomáre ámi tomár
Tumi balechile priiti uchale
Sháshvata kále chile ámár

Bhule gecho kata jug shata shata
Caliyá giyáche ajáná anáhata
Ámi tava sáthe chilum satata
Cáhiyá dekho ni ekt́i bár

Ámi balilám se doś ámár
Chilo ná samvit ceye dekhivár
Doś trut́i kichu naheko tomár
Bhugechi nija dośe báre bár

One morning light-dripping, You did yield to me;
I told You not that I am Yours...
Instead You'd said, love surging,
You'd been mine since time eternal.

"You've forgot how many hundreds of ages
Going on is the Unknown and Unplayed.
I had been along with you always;
But you saw not once, while craving it."

I replied: "That is my transgression;
There was no awareness of another way to look.
Any lapse or blemish, it is surely not Yours;
Often for my own sins I have suffered."
