Bájáy báṋshii sudhá jhará

Phul jábe ná káro káche
Sabái táre ghire náce
Tákáy jadi káro páne
Sei bale more dáo dhará

E madhumáser nei tulaná
Ákásh pátál svapne boná
Eker lági anek jági
Áche ujáŕi priitidhárá

আলো জ্বালো কেন আজি
জ্যোৎস্নাতে ধরা ভরা
চাঁদের হাসি পুলকে ভাসি'
বাজায় বাঁশী সুধা-ঝরা

ফুল যাবে না কারো কাছে
সবাই তারে ঘিরে নাচে
তাকায় যদি কারো পানে
সে-ই বলে মোরে দাও ধরা

এ মধুমাসের নেই তুলনা
আকাশ পাতাল স্বপ্নে বোনা
একের লাগি' অনেক জাগি'
আছে উজাড়ি' প্রীতিধারা

Today why do you kindle light;
By moonlight the world is filled.
With delight the moon's smile
Plays a flute, dripping ambrosia.

A flower goes not near to anyone;
Around her dances everyone.
If she looks at someone,
She but says: To me surrender.

Of this springtime, there's no likeness;
In a dream, heaven and hell are knit.
Due to the One many awaken;
Love's flow is exhausted.
