Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Balo ekbár ámi tomár
Tomáre khuṋjechi bháviyá calechi
Utalá hayechi katabár

Saḿsárer d́áke haye udvelita
Háráyechi dishá háráyechi cita
Dhruvatárá haye hat́t́ upaniita
Sumukhe ámár báre bár

Pashcime ravi cale jáy belá
Rekhoná bhuláye diye dhúlákhelá
Thámáo kśańek tomár e liilá
Ámáke niye priya ebár

Tell just once that I am Thine.
Musing I've moved, I've searched for You;
I've been apprehensive oftentimes.

Lured by the world having become,
I've lost both heart and mind, direction I've lost.
Though having been my polestar, a market is brought
In front of me time after time.

My sun is in the west, daytime vanishes;
By way of a dust-game, don't persist forgotten.
Your sport divine, halt it for a moment,
Taking me, oh Darling, this time.
