Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Álokotsave esecho (tumi)
Shośita mánave kole tule niyecho
Buddhir agocare bodhir shubha vicáre
Bhálabásá d́helecho

He vibhu eki tava abodhya karuńá
Aneke ek karile asádhya sádhaná
Kare dile áshá bharecho

Tomár páne sabe animikhe ceye áche
Mánav vihaga pashu prati pal guniteche
Nirváka priiti niye tumi calecho egiye
Mańidiip theke dyuti d́hele diyecho

With a festival of light You've come;
Onto lap You've raised a drained population.
Beyond reach of intellect, by wisdom's kindly decree,
You have lavished affection.

Hey Sovereign, such is Your compassion, incomprehensible;
From multitude just one... You achieved the impossible.
Hope You have infused by letting it be done.

Toward You all are gazing with scrutiny unblinking;
Human, bird, and beast, each minute they are counting.
You have gone ahead, taking love without speaking,
From a bejeweled lamp You've conferred splendor.
