Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Bhávo bhule giye jata vyathábhár
Hásikhushi ei dharańiite (shudhu)
Áṋkhi aiṋjane eṋke priiti tár
Dekho nava cetanár álote

Mayúr náciche kadambavane
Digvalayer sonáli svapane
Vivasha nikhil peye geche mil
Manane o bháve cakite

Maner argal khuliyá giyáche
Bháv bháśá sur ekete misheche
Eker iccháy ek-i preśańáy
Sabe bhese cale ek srote

Forgetting all the load of pain, contemplate
The gaiety on this same earth only.
Like an eye-cosmetic its love does trace,
View with a light-ray of new sensibility.

In the kadam grove a peacock is dancing
To the horizon's golden dream.
The whole universe has gotten whelmed, is in concert
With both thought and thinking, instantly.

The gates of mind are opening;
In accord, merged have thought, language, and melody.
With a singular will and singular inspiration,
Everyone and everything floats away upon one stream.
