Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Chot́t́a haleo tumi baŕa
He dhúlikańá he dhúlikańá
Vishver itikathá tomáte nihitá
Tumi he jugaváratá
Haoyáy mele diye d́áná

Ke bale tomár práń nei
Ke bale tomáte gán nei
Ańu paramáńu stare
Práń je rayeche bhare
Gán bhará kańá kańá

Ke bale tumi rúp dáo ná
Ke bale tumi dhúp jválo ná
Gaerik váse
Sájáo shyámala gháse
Sikta suváse karo ánamaná

Although you be tiny you are great,
Hey speck of dust, hey pollen-grain.
Dwelling in you is the cosmic tale;
You are tidings of the age,
Wings spread upon the air.

Who says you have no vitality;
Who tells there's no song in thee?
In atomic and molecular tiers,
Vigor has stayed replete...
Full of song is each grain.

Who says loveliness you don't provide;
Who tells that no resin you ignite?
From inside abode of laterite,
With green grass you attire...
With damp fragrance, you make free from care.
