Jáni ná ámi kotháy
Bheve bheve cale mepe kathá bale
Mane shánti ná páoyá jáy

Diyecho ámáre áshár atiita
Káje lágáini sampada ata
Dhariyá rekhechi báŕáte ceyechi
Kár tare náhi jáni háy

Bhuler pareo bhul kare gechi
Samvit páne ceye ná dekhechi
Ájike tomár álok peyechi
Bandhan chiṋŕe dilo táy

এই স্মিত জ্যোৎস্নায় মন ভেসে' যায়
জানি না আমি কোথায়
ভেবে' ভেবে' চলে মেপে' কথা বলে'
মনে শান্তি না পাওয়া যায়

দিয়েছ আমারে আশার অতীত
কাজে লাগাইনি সম্পদ অত
ধরিয়া রেখেছি বাড়াতে চেয়েছি
কার তরে নাহি জানি হায়

ভুলের পরেও ভুল করে' গেছি
সম্বিৎ পানে চেয়ে না দেখেছি
আজিকে তোমার আলোক পেয়েছি
বন্ধন ছিঁড়ে দিল তায়

On this same bright moonlight mind goes sailing;
Whereto, I don't perceive.
It moves ever contemplating, speaking measured words;
Yet peace goes unobtained by psyche.

You've given me a legacy of expectation;
I failed to do the work, my riches so much.
I have kept holding, I've wanted to extend;
But for whom I know not, unfortunately.

I've kept making mistakes even after blunders;
I've not investigated consciousness.
But today I've discovered Your effulgence;
Bondage being rent gave that thing.
