Elo ná elo ná se ájo
Se ki ámáy bhule gelo tabe
Áṋkhira dhárá bahe shatadháre
Bujhilo ná seki mor anubhave

Jharajhara jhare paŕe varaśá vári
Maner mayúr náce ná táre heri
Megher siimáy áṋká ná áche tári
Aiṋjanarekhá priitimákhá ásave

Meghakajjvala májhe neiko áshá
Neiko hásir álo neiko bháśá
Jáci tári anurág chande giitiká rág
Maner gahan końe práńotsave

এলো না এলো না সে আজও
সে কি আমায় ভুলে' গেল তবে
আঁখির ধারা বহে শতধারে
বুঝিল না সেকি মোর অনুভবে

ঝরঝর ঝরে' পড়ে' বরষা-বারি
মনের ময়ূর নাচে না তারে হেরি'
মেঘের সীমায় আঁকা না আছে তারি
অঞ্জনরেখা প্রীতিমাখা আসবে

মেঘকজ্জ্বল মাঝে নেইকো আশা
নেইকো হাসির আলো নেইকো ভাষা
যাচি তারই অনুরাগ ছন্দে গীতিকা-রাগ
মনের গহন কোণে প্রাণোৎসবে

Came He not, came He not, even today;
So did He forget me?
A stream from eyes flows on a hundred ways;
Oh, did He not understand my feelings?

The rain waters are falling without stop;
The mind peacock romps, beholding Him not.
With cloudy boundaries, not His, are daubed
The lines of stibnite like wine love-smeared.

There is not hope in the midst of cloudy collyrium;
There is no light of laughter, there is no tongue.
I beg just His caress, a rhythmic song's affection,
With fest of life in niche of mind hard to reach.
