Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Je águn jvele gele tumi priya
Táhá kabhu nivibe ná sabái jáni
Je áṋdháre tava ratnadiip chilo
Táháke cira bhásvara máni

Je máliká háte tule niyechile
Je málá kańt́he tava parechile
Je puśpastabake ráge anuráge mekhe
Hásir jhalak dile táháo cini

Je álokapáte tava carańapáte
Tamah sare álo elo áṋkhipáte
Je nandana madhu dharáy námálo vidhu
Táháke phire pete pal je guńi

O Dear Lord, the fire that have kindled
will never be extinguished, all know it.
In the darkness your precious lamp
that lighted up, that I consider
to be eternally effulgent.
The garland carried in hand
and put on your neck;
the floral offering soaked with love
was recognized in the light of your smile.
The light emerging by your arrival,
has removed the darkness
and the eyes are illuminated.
The sweet, pleasing moonlight
that you brought on the earth,
to find that again, I am counting moments.
