Shúnya áche vedii tumi ese baso jadi
Kśańatare mor páne cáo

Surabhi rabhase hiyá bhariyá tuliyáchi
Manda malayánile sauṋgiit raciyáchi
Tomári deoyá sure báṋsharii mádhurii pure
Gái gán tumi shune jáo

Ámár kichui nái sabi tomár priya
Sundar ei dhará ei priiti varańiiya
Sabete rayecho cheye sabi tomáke niye
E cetaná manete jágáo

কাছে এসে' ধরা দিয়ে যাও
মোর মনকে রাঙিয়ে দাও
শূন্য আছে বেদী তুমি এসে' বসো যদি
ক্ষণতরে মোর পানে চাও

সুরভি-রভসে হিয়া ভরিয়া তুলিয়াছি
মন্দ মলয়ানিলে সঙ্গীত রচিয়াছি
তোমারই দেওয়া সুরে বাঁশরী মাধুরী পূরে'
গাই গান তুমি শুনে যাও

আমার কিছুই নাই সবই তোমার প্রিয়
সুন্দর এই ধরা এই প্রীতি বরণীয়
সবেতে রয়েছ ছেয়ে সবই তোমাকে নিয়ে
এ চেতনা মনেতে জাগাও

Coming nigh, please continue to surrender;
Kindly let my psyche be brightened.
Dais is empty; should You come and take a seat,
Gaze in my direction for a moment.

Filling heart with a fragrance-passion, I'm presenting;
I am creating music neath a languid, southern breeze.
In a tune You gave, a reed flute full of sweetness,
I sing lyrics; You go on and listen.

Not a thing belongs to me; all is Yours, my Darling:
This world of beauty and this love reception-worthy.
You've remained diffused in all, with You everything is;
Please waken in the mind this consciousness.

  2. ^ It should be noted that the Sargam presents two very different but both plausible versions of this first line. What is presented here is the version adopted in later Bengali source.[2] Though this might not be the better version, it precludes any need for a minor adjustment to the second line of the first verse (for poetic purpose). For this reason only, that is what has been presented here.
