- ^ It should be noted that the Sargam presents two very different but both plausible versions of this first line. What is presented here is the version adopted in later Bengali source.[2] Though this might not be the better version, it precludes any need for a minor adjustment to the second line of the first verse (for poetic purpose). For this reason only, that is what has been presented here.
