- It should be noted that the Sargam presents two very different but both plausible versions of this first line. What is presented here is the version adopted in later Bengali source. Though this might not be the better version, it precludes any need for a minor adjustment to the second line of the first verse (for poetic purpose). For this reason only, that is what has been presented here.
