Bhásiyechile kono máná ná mene
Tava cakra máyáy tava liilá dyotanáy
Randhre randhre práń bhariye dile

Atiite chile tumi varttamáne ácho

তব মনপবনে তরী উজানে
ভাসিয়েছিলে কোনো মানা না মেনে
তব চক্র-মায়ায় তব লীলা-দ্যোতনায়
রন্ধ্রে রন্ধ্রে প্রাণ ভরিয়ে দিলে

অতীতে ছিলে তুমি বর্ত্তমানে আছো
ভবিষ্যতের ছবি এঁকে চলেছো
তুমি সবার গীতি তুমি সবার প্রীতি
সবার মধুর স্মৃতি প্রাণে পশিলে

In what yesteryear, on what ancient day,
With sweet nectar from Your psyche,
Did You build this lovely world?
Oh Lord,[nb 2] Your cognition and intuition
Made a star rise in the vast blue sky.

By Your hidden will, a ship travels upstream;
You'd made it sail, heeding no warning.
In the cycle of Your maya, the expression of Your liila,
With life-breath You imbued every single pore.

In the hoary past You were, and at present You are,
Ever You've endured, etching an image of the future.
For everyone You're the hymn and its satisfaction;
As everyone's sweet memory, You entered the heart.

  2. ^ Stithodadhi (স্থিতোদধি) is not a common name for God. Literally, it would signify an ocean-dweller, a denizen of the sea. But as this verse describes a "time" before the universe was created, the sea is clearly the ocean of consciousness. The dweller must then be Parama Purusa Himself, the Supreme Consciousness.
