Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Nikkańe nikkańe shiiṋjita carańe
(Eso eso) Eso anupama (tumi)
Mahá ambare mukta abhre
Násho násho násho kalmaśa mama

Áji dakhiná vátás kothá jete cáy
Maner mayúr nece chút́e jáy
Tárá tava páne dháy tomáy je cáy
Ogo priyatama

Áji áloker rath egiye cale
Pulaker srot mrdu mrdu bale
Tárá tomár parashe udbhásita
Haye bale namo namah

With bells sweetly tinkling, jingling on Your feet,
Come, come, please come, Matchless One Supreme.
Into the vast firmament, into unfettered heavens,
Expel, expel, please expel my sins.

Today, the southern wind wants to go somewhere;
And the peacock of my psyche races, frolicking.
Toward You they speed, at You they peer,
Oh my Darling Dear!

Today, the splendid chariot proceeds;
And a thrilling current whispers very gently.
At Your touch, they are gleaming,
Having been on bended knee.
