- ^ In common parlance, bhúdhare would translate as "on a mountain" or "like a mountain". However, going back to the word's Samskrta roots, etymologically, bhúdhare could also mean "supporting Earth" or "Earth-dweller". Bhúdhar is a known epithet for both Shiva and Krsna.
